Lantern Books is a place that "activists can publish."  This is a truly great company that walks their talk.  Many of their staff rescue animals and most are vegetarian or vegan themselves!  This is a compassionate company that publishes books that will open your consciousness to the meaning of what animals truly are.

Animal Wellness
magazine:  An excellent magazine that tackles some hard issues about animal health.  Writing from a holistic perspective, it is filled with new techniques and resources from leading practitioners around the country.  Each issue is a treasure!

Vegetarian Times magazine is a magazine that is great for people who are just starting a vegearian lifestyle or beginning to think about having one. The pictures are beautiful and the recipies are easy to make.

Conscious Choice
magazine and Whole Life Times magazine:
Both by Dragonfly press, these sources are free of charge. Find sources for holistic practitioners for both animals and people, plus informative and important articles about political, environmental and social issues.  Pick them up at Whole Foods Markets and other locations.  Conscious Choice is located with sources in the Midwest, Whole Life Times, with sources on the West Coast.

Vegan Street
:  A tremendous company that sells animal-friendly clothes, books, accessories.  All products are cruelty-free.  A great company with great people and great links!!!

Pangea Products:
  A great company that specializes in vegan products and vegan foods  - including vegan chocolates and treats!

DOG CAMPS:
Camp Dogwood:  Located in northwestern Illinois, this camp, for you and your dog, usually lasts 3 - 4 days per session.  4 sessions are offered per year.  This is an outstanding camp that is truly as much fun for people as it is for dogs!  It is a place where your "dog can be a dog."  The founders of the camp are real animal lovers who have sought out the best people in their fields to give your dog a sampling of lots of different fun activities and training methods.
